Meeting description

A meeting of arts residencies from around the Southeast Asian region for the purposes of establishing a network for exchange and discussing topics regarding running, promoting, and growing a residency. Participants included 23 residencies from 8 Southeast Asian countries and 9 residencies from non-SEA countries with an investment and interest in the region. This meeting was organized by Rimbun Dahan and Res Artis, with support from Goethe-Institut Malaysia. The meeting was facilitated/moderated by Res Artis board member Jean-Baptiste Joly (also Director of Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart).

Location

The meeting was hosted and held in Rimbun Dahan, a private arts centre on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Syar S. Alia, Rimbun Dahan’s Art Manager, handled all matters of logistical help and consultation.
